Doing Business With Me

I have been working seriously as a freelance writer and editor since 2000. My business name comes from the town in Cornwall England where my paternal ancestors lived. It's pronounced Lawn-ston.

I am always pleased to discuss potential contracts with you, and will provide an estimate at no cost to you. Typically, I establish a "maximum price" based on my estimate of how much time the job will take. If it takes less, I charge you the lesser amount; if more, I usually absorb the overage.

Generally, a handshake is sufficient to get me going. If you want a written contract, I know just the person to prepare one! Small jobs are invoiced upon your complete satisfaction with the product. Larger jobs, such as personal histories, may require a deposit. Payment is by cash or cheque.
